Questions
How much will a dealer pay for my watch?
Less than it sells for between private buyers. A dealer inspects it, often services it, backs it with a warranty and takes the risk of reselling it, so the offer leaves room for that. How close it comes to market value depends on the model, its condition and its box and papers; popular steel sports models get the strongest offers. The value above is what yours sells for between buyers today, so you can judge any offer.
Should I sell on eBay or to a dealer?
eBay can bring more money, but you pay its fees (on a watch, 15% of the first $1,000, 6.5% of the price up to $7,500 and 3% above that), insure the shipping, and handle buyers, questions and returns. A dealer pays less, but quickly, with no listing, fees or buyer risk. The value above shows what you'd keep on eBay, so you can compare.
What happens after I ask for an offer?
We look over your watch and, with your OK, pass it to a trusted dealer who buys watches like it. The dealer gets in touch with an offer. You're never obligated to sell.
Which watches can I sell?
Any luxury watch. We show an instant value for the 51 models in our price guide; for anything else, tell us the brand, model and reference and we'll take it from there.
What does it cost?
Nothing. If you sell, the dealer may pay Caseback Terminal a referral fee.
What do you do with my details?
We use them to reply to you and, because you tick the box, to pass your watch and contact details to the dealer making the offer. We don't sell them or use them for advertising, and we delete them on request. See our privacy policy.
