- You can browse without an account, and we don't know who you are.
- If you sign in, we keep your name, email address and membership status.
- Payments go through Stripe. We never see your card number.
- We don't sell your information or use advertising trackers.
- Email us any time for a copy of your data, or to delete it.
Who we are
Caseback Terminal ("we", "us") runs casebackterminal.com, a site that tracks pre-owned watch listings and what they sell for. This policy covers the site and your account. Questions go to casebackterminal@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you browse. Our host, Vercel, processes your IP address and basic request details, such as your browser and the pages you ask for, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and records only the page, the site that sent you, your country, and your browser and device type. Visitors are counted with an identifier that is discarded after 24 hours, so we can't follow you from one day to the next.
When you sign in with Google. Your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID, plus when you joined and when you last signed in. We never see your Google password.
When you follow models. The models you follow and your alert settings, kept with your account.
When you become a Pro member. Stripe runs checkout and billing. We receive your Stripe customer ID, your plan, your subscription status and your payment history (amounts and dates). Your card details go to Stripe and are never sent to us or stored by us.
On your device. Watches you save and ones you've viewed recently are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, and we never receive them.
When you email us. Your address and what you write, so we can reply.
Cookies
We set one cookie to keep you signed in, for up to 30 days or until you sign out, and one that lasts 10 minutes to protect the sign-in step. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. eBay, dealers and affiliate networks set their own cookies when you follow a link to their sites; their policies cover those.
How we use it
- To run your account and membership, and to show members the deals included with Pro.
- To send the deal alert emails you ask for. Every alert email has a link to stop them.
- To answer your messages and send important notices about your account.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To understand how the site is used overall, so we can improve it.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site, each limited to what it needs:
- Vercel hosts the site and provides visitor analytics.
- Upstash stores account and membership records.
- Google provides sign-in and serves the site's fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Resend delivers alert emails, so it receives your email address and what each alert says.
- eBay and dealers: listing photos load from their servers, which receive your IP address. Links to them carry affiliate codes (eBay Partner Network, Impact, CJ) so they can credit us if you buy. We never send them your name or email address.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a sale of the site, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
eBay seller information
Listings come from eBay and include public details such as the seller's eBay username and feedback score. When eBay tells us a seller has closed their account, we delete that seller's information.
How long we keep it
Account information is kept while you have an account. When you ask us to delete it, we do so within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting, such as payment history. Stripe keeps its own records under its own policy.
Your choices and rights
- A copy, a correction, or deletion: email casebackterminal@gmail.com from the address on your account.
- Alert emails: turn them off with the link in any alert, or in the Saved tab.
- Cancel Pro: any time, from Manage billing on the site.
- Google access: you can remove the site's access in your Google Account settings, under third-party connections.
- Saved watches: clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
Depending on where you live, for example California, the EU or the UK, you may have more rights, such as knowing what we hold, objecting to certain uses, or complaining to a data protection authority. Email us and we'll honor them. We don't sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms. Where European data protection law applies, we rely on our agreement with you (your account and membership), our legitimate interests (security and basic analytics), and legal obligations (tax records).
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, the sign-in cookie is signed and can't be read by scripts on the page, and access to account records is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
The site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. You must be 18 or older to buy a membership.

Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell members by email before it takes effect.
